Thanks to everyone who helped us with this year’s Spring Cleanup! The rain held off long enough for us to clean almost every street in the neighborhood. The doughnuts and bagels were tasty.

Hi, neighbors-

Just a reminder that we can still use some helpers to clean up the neighborhood this Saturday, May 16th from 9 am until 11 am. We will gather at 3613 Eliot Road in the driveway to grab a quick breakfast of bagels, donuts, coffee and water and then head out to help beautify our neighborhood.

We will also be accepting Association dues of $20 for the year if you want to drop those off at the same time. Please make checks payable to: Glenwood Heights Association.

As a side note, please drive extra carefully around the neighborhood, as we will have neighbors cleaning up. Some will be wearing orange safety vests.
All will have gloves and garbage bags too.

The weather is supposed to cooperate so it will be a great time to be outside with nature. Please take this opportunity to talk with others in our neighborhood and expand your social skills while benefitting the neighborhood. Plus, our new watch coordinator, Jackie Cavicchio will be there and it's a great time to stop and say, "Hi."

I hope to see you there!

Margie

Hi neighbors!
We are still looking for several of you to join us this Saturday, May 16, from 9-11 a.m. for the annual Spring Clean-Up. We will meet at 3613 Eliot Road.
Some of our usual helpers aren't able to attend this year, so we need a few new faces. Otherwise, we will not be able to pick up trash along some of our streets.
Those who join receive doughnuts, bagels, coffee, water, as well as gloves, bags and a safety vest. Please email [email protected] ASAP if you can join!

Here is a note from the city of Erie, regarding compost pickup following the wind storms ...

"Residents can ONLY use open hard containers (less than 50 pounds when filled) or brown compost bags that say "lawn & leaf" on them. They could also use green-tinted biodegradable ones but those are very hard to find for some reason.

Acceptable items are grass clippings, hedge or shrub trimmings and leaves. No bushes, trees, etc. The city is NOT a landscaping business

PET WASTE can not mixed in with these items since it contaminates the compost site.

REMEMBER that all branches and limbs are to be tied in a pile placed curb side or in a container, and set out on the resident’s trash night for night crew to pick up."
