𝟐. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐝?
Taking 2nd place in the SF2 class was definitely a highlight, but my proudest moment was watching my son confidently interview other drivers throughout the event. Seeing him step out of his comfort zone, take initiative, and become part of the experience made the weekend even more special. As a dad, that was a moment I’ll never forget.
𝟑. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞? 𝐅𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬!
Finding the right balance between pushing the car and maintaining control was my biggest challenge. Each run helped me better understand the course, improve my lines, and focus on being smoother and more consistent behind the wheel. My biggest tip for future drivers is to focus on consistency, learn from every run, and make small adjustments rather than trying to change everything at once.

𝟓. 𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐬? 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐲?
I focused on learning from each run, making adjustments to my driving, and identifying areas where I could improve. The biggest takeaway was that consistency and seat time are just as important as the car’s setup. You don’t need a perfect setup to make progress, every run is an opportunity to learn something new and become a better driver.
𝟔. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐞𝐧𝐣𝐨𝐲 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐨𝐩 𝐃𝐨𝐠 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩?
The best part was the combination of competition, community, and family. Bringing home 2nd place was rewarding, but having my son there and watching him confidently interview other drivers made the experience unforgettable. Being able to compete for Team Army while supporting the mission of Rally4Vets made the weekend even more meaningful.
