🌊 Meet our first 2026 VERTE Gala honoree!

We're proud to recognize Fed by Blue and its Co-Founder and Executive Director, Jennifer Bushman - Sustainable Seafood Educator, with the Rising Tide Award for advancing blue food education, ocean stewardship, and sustainable food systems.

Their work reflects a message we've been exploring throughout our Blue is the New Green series: the future of sustainability depends on both land and water.
Some of our most important climate solutions are found beneath the surface, and we're just getting started telling those stories.

We recently extended the timeline for the Beyond the Headlines PitchFest Collaboration, which means there is still plenty of time to get involved! The final deadline for submissions is June 26th! 🗓️✨

This is the perfect end-of-year activity to keep kids engaged. The PitchFest challenges youth to think critically about environmental news, spot misleading information, and pitch real-world solutions. Not only do they build incredible real-world skills, but they also have a chance to win funding to bring their eco-dreams to life!

Blue space learning is making waves at Grades of Green 🌊💙

From kelp and aquaculture to sustainable fishing and blue foods, new ocean-focused lessons inspired by the docuseries Hope in the Water with Fed by Blue are coming soon to our learning platforms.
