💡 “I didn’t think my voice mattered.”

We’ve heard versions of this from students over the years.
Then something changes.

A student leads a project.
Presents to community leaders.
Shares an idea.
Discovers they can make a difference.

The project matters.
But the confidence they gain lasts much longer.

That’s why we’re launching the Student & Teacher Opportunity Fund: https://givebutter.com/help-us-say-yes

Because every student deserves opportunities to discover what they’re capable of.

❓ What can we do if more people say yes?

If we have to say no, brilliant student eco-ideas stop right at the classroom door. Entire campuses lose out on hands-on sustainability education and the chance to drive real environmental change.

When we get to say YES, we fund continuous hands-on learning. We activate students across entire communities to step up as local leaders.

This school year, we’re launching our Help Us Say Yes campaign to make sure no great idea gets left behind. Here is how you can help us say YES today:

🌱 Volunteer at Books, Blooms & Community Roots to build hanging planters for local educators and families on September 5th at Sunflower Farms from 10am-12pm.
💚 Become a Founding Champion and support our new Student & Teacher Opportunity Fund to power Green Teams and student innovation.

As a thank-you, volunteers and Founding Champions will be entered into a drawing for Jack Johnson Hollywood Bowl concert tickets*! 🎟️

📚 Think of a teacher who changed your life. Most of us can name that person immediately.

The teacher who encouraged us.
The mentor who believed in us.
The person who helped us discover strengths we didn’t know we had.

At Grades of Green, we see those moments happen every day with students and teachers across our programs.

This school year, we’re launching Help Us Say Yes — a campaign designed to create more opportunities for students and teachers to learn, lead, and thrive.

There are two ways to get involved:
🌱 Volunteer at Books, Blooms & Community Roots
💚 Become a Founding Champion of our new Student & Teacher Opportunity Fund
