Throwback to the 8th grade picnic and what seemed like the first real day of summer! ASB provided the yummy Habit burgers and PTSA provided the chips, cookies, drinks, and popsicles 🙌. It was definitely a labor of love on that hot, sweaty day but these students are worth it 💯. Thank you to our parent volunteers for helping make this happen! It was bittersweet to see the signing of yearbooks, pictures being taken, and tears being shed as friends and classmates said goodbye to middle school and each other. Congrats to the promoted 8th grade class - we will miss you! Cheers to a bright future! 🫶

Popsicles for our student PTSA members yesterday! We had a number of students come by and ask how they could get a popsicle and we told them to sign up to be members next year. We’ll have more in store for them in the fall! 🙌🏽

Want to support but don’t have the time to do so? Please consider signing this Parent Petition which appeals to the City of Hawthorne for safer streets at WMS!

If you like to organize, we got what you need! We’ll be sorting through and organizing the overwhelming Lost & Found that’s accumulated this year. Did your student “borrow” your favorite Stanley cup and is now nowhere to be found? You might find it on Tuesday! We’ll have rolling racks and hangers for the clothes and tables to lay out all the other stuff. Shifts are in one-hour increments. Come when you can!
