"Faith is a 15-year-old student at Uyoba Primary School. Each morning she wakes early, just as the sun is lengthening the shadows in her village. With the other girls she goes to collect water from the bore hole, carrying the heavy plastic containers back to the house balanced on her head. After sweeping the dirt surrounds of her home, she quickly gets into her school uniform and makes the 30-minute journey to school.
Waiting in line at the bottom of the Digitruck stairs, this the favorite part of Faith's day, the anticipation of learning on a tablet. Her favorite subject is mathematics and she recognizes how much the tablet has helped her improve. Her only interaction with technology before DigiLearn was stolen glances at her father's Samsung smartphone, shared with her other 3 siblings.
The ability to operate a tablet on her own has made her much more confident with technology, something she hopes will support her in the future in her ambition to go to University."
