The days are getting shorter, and it is getting darker earlier. If you bike to work, school, or around town, a helmet, lights, and reflective gear can help drivers see you.

Talbot Thrive has free Bicycle Safety Kits for neighbors who cannot buy this equipment on their own. Each kit includes a helmet, bike lights, a reflective vest, leg bands, and wheel stickers.

Pick up a Bicycle Safety Kit for you or your child at ChesMRC, 331 E. Dover Street in Easton. Kits are also available at Building African American Minds, Inc., Neighborhood Service Center, Easton High School (Office of Community Schools), and the St. Michaels Community Center.

Curiosity was the assignment in the ChesMRC Afterschool Program.

Students got up close with oysters, from the shell on the table to what a microscope can show. They looked, asked questions, and wrote down what they saw. This is hands-on learning about the Bay, right here in our own community.

Open Enrollment for health insurance runs from November 1, 2026 through January 15, 2027.

Open Enrollment is the annual window when you can sign up for a health plan, renew your current coverage, or make changes for the year ahead. If you miss this period, you may have to wait until next year unless you qualify for a special enrollment period.

ChesMRC can help you through the process. Call the office to make an appointment for your Open Enrollment needs at 1-877-77-AYUDA (1-877-772-9832).
