Maryland Community for Life-Talbot Maryland Community for LifeSM -Talbot offers innovative options for seniors 65+ living in Talbot County that wish to live independently in their own homes.

Our services include home maintenance, safety assessments, transportation and social programs. Villages are membership-driven,grass-roots organizations that coordinate access to affordable services. Through volunteers, villages enable individuals to remain connected to their community throughout the aging process by providing access to health and wellness programs, home repairs, social and educati

onal activities,and other day-to-day needs. Talbot Village Connection's members have access to our entire group of pre-screened service providers and volunteers. Some of our service providers may offer discounted prices to you as a member. In addition, our volunteers are available to provide many services at no cost. Our staff is available to arrange the volunteer assistance you request and to follow up to ensure you received the level of service you expected. Access to home help is only a phone call away, giving you convenience and peace of mind. For a small annual fee members may receive the following services:

•Minor home and garden chores
•Technology assistance
•Daily telephone re-assurance calls
•Access to preferred provider list
•Transportation
• Friendly visitors for homebound seniors
•Social and educational programs

Needs Assessment:
We connect with each new member to review your needs and help determine what assistance may be needed and then create a schedule. Eligibility and Rate Structure:
Membership is available to residents of Talbot County (MD) who are over the age of 55. An annual membership fee provides services for one household (1-2 people). Financial assistance may be available to those with limited resources.

Our Story

Talbot Village Connections (TVC) was established in 2015 as part of a national nonprofit village movement to support seniors to age in their own homes. In 2018 Maryland’s Governor established the first statewide program in the nation, Maryland Community for Life℠, to model and implement innovations for aging in place for seniors over age 65. TVC was selected as one of the first four nonprofit organizations to become a Maryland Community for Life℠ Program through a partnership with the Department of Aging. On November 1, TVC became Maryland Community for Life℠ - Talbot (CFL).

Our mission is to offer innovative options for positive, safe, healthy aging for Talbot County seniors who wish to live independently in their own homes through personalized, affordable, non-medical support and services.
