What a wonderful and heartwarming VFS event in Lexington! 💛
Our Volunteering For Seniors Inc(VFS )Golden Moments program brought seniors and young children together through storytelling, fun questions, laughter, and creative activities such as “Seniors Become Millionaires” and “Bollywood Stars.” The little ones enthusiastically asked questions, and our seniors participated with wonderful energy and spirit.
Programs like these teach children to listen, respect, and learn from the experiences of older adults. At the same time, seniors feel heard, valued, and connected to the younger generation. These joyful interactions bring back beautiful memories, encourage conversation, and remind our seniors that their stories and experiences truly matter.
Intergenerational connections create a special kind of happiness. Children bring curiosity and innocence, while seniors share wisdom, humor, and valuable life lessons. Everyone learns from one another and leaves with golden memories.
A heartfelt thank you to Sudhir ji from Indian Seniors of Lexington for giving Volunteering For Seniors this wonderful opportunity and for supporting meaningful programs that bring generations together.
