Thank you to the amazing team of 40+ volunteers from Fidelity Investments who joined us on May 28 to clean up Allen Park in Dorchester and the surrounding neighborhood. Together, we removed 330 pounds of litter!

We also appreciated visits from Senator Nick Collins, as well as the principal of the nearby Mather School, which Fidelity has supported through its Fidelity Cares Program for many years.

Keep Massachusetts Beautiful’s Talking Trash & Recycling Presentation is an engaging and interactive program designed to educate residents, students, employees, and families about waste management and recycling best practices here in Massachusetts. From understanding what belongs in the recycling bin to learning practical ways to reduce waste, this presentation helps communities build cleaner, greener habits together.

We encourage schools, after-school programs, libraries, summer camps, municipalities, and community organizations to request a customized presentation for your audience, available both virtually and in person!

Thank you to the energetic team of volunteers from Rockhill Management, who joined us last Thursday for a Company Community Service Cleanup at Carson Beach in South Boston!

We avoided the extreme heat that occurred earlier in the week and removed nearly 200 pounds of litter and trash from this beautiful beach, which is managed by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation & Recreation.

The new Keep America Beautiful 2026 National Litter Study has been released, and the findings are eye-opening. While litter across America has declined by 34% since 2020, an estimated 35 billion pieces of litter remain in our communities, waterways, and public spaces.

Senate Resolve 2390 could help create real, statewide action around litter prevention and cleanup efforts across Massachusetts. The bill has already passed the Joint Committee on Transportation unanimously and now needs to advance to a full Senate vote.
