We are a group of citizens concerned about the amount of trash on the roadsides and parks in our town. Our hope is to raise awareness and educate people about the far- reaching negative effects of litter and trash on our environment. Our vision is for a clean and healthy environment for the community, now and for generatio

ns to come. The second stage of the project will involve educating the public to become more litter-aware in an effort to reduce or eradicate trash in our town. It will also entail continued cleanup of trash and debris throughout the year.

Here’s the “after” video from today’s cleanup of the embankment near the entrance to the Big Y Plaza. The area was highly trashed with large volumes of plastic bags, receipts, and plastic sheeting, most of which appears to blow across the parking lot. We also removed the two Target shopping carts earlier this week.

A HUGEshout out to all of the volunteers who helped make this “Great Easton Cleanup” a HUGE success!!! I don’t have the final bag count/poundage yet, but there was a tremendous amount of garbage removed from our beautiful town yesterday. The Easton Grange would like to thank every single volunteer who stepped up to help make this day a day to be proud of our town and the fantastic people who live in it! Although it was quite challenging to capture everyone’s photo, (due to finding locations, ease of parking and time constraints, we fully recognize ALL who gave so generously of their time and energy to KEEP EASTON BEAUTIFUL!
