When big emotions and sensory challenges take over, slowing down and becoming a curious observer can help us understand what that behavior is communicating so that we can better support that individual.

🚛 Big truck. Big smiles. BIG curiosity!

Yesterday, our friends from Cook Logistics LLC brought a beautiful semi truck to Bloom360 for a special Touch a Truck experience—and our Learners and Participants loved every minute of it!

They climbed into the cab, grabbed the giant steering wheel, explored all the dials and buttons, and imagined cruising down the open road. Then came the big surprises: a refrigerator and a BED inside the truck! 🤯

With everything from the steering wheel to the gas tank bigger than they'd ever seen, there was so much to explore and wonder about.

A huge thank you to Tom and Corey from Cook Logistics for sharing their truck, answering a million questions, and showing our Learners around with so much patience and enthusiasm. You helped turn a truck into a hands-on learning adventure! 💙

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for Bowl for Bloom360 on Sunday! 🎳 It was such a joy to see our friends and families come together for bowling, pizza, and plenty of fun.

Adventure, connection and a little bravery made for a wonderful day at Blue Lotus Center! 🌿

Our Learners and Participants fished, kayaked, pedal-boated, rode bikes, walked the trails, explored nature and tried new things together.

One Learner who has visited Blue Lotus for years found the bravery to go out on the water in a pedal boat for the first time. He loved it! Later, he proudly told his mom, “I was scared but it was okay.”

That’s what growth can look like—feeling nervous, finding your courage, trying something new and discovering, I can do this.

We saw fish and turtles, spotted a snake along the trail, worked together and had SO much fun!

We’re grateful to Blue Lotus for creating inclusive opportunities for our group to connect with nature, build confidence and bloom.
