From the desk of our Executive Director, Suzanne Kasper:

“It is with sadness that we announce the permanent closing of our home as of June 1, 2023. It has been a honor to serve all those that came here. Peace and Blessings!”

Hi all! As of late, we’ve been getting a lot of unexpected drop off donations left on the front porch. This is a PSA to please STOP doing that. We are no longer accepting any donations of any kind, we simply have way too much and not enough room to store it and without asking we can’t respectfully decline it. Today, it looks as though someone has left a few boxes of stuff that was snowed on and in. We still have stuff that was randomly dropped off from several months ago because we have no where to put it. Please just throw your stuff away or donate elsewhere. Gerard’s Embrace does not have enough staff to go through it and get rid of it for you.

Gerard's Embrace is incredibly honored to have been nominated by Lea Sperle at Citizens Bank in East Troy for the Wisconsin Bankers Association Power of Community Week! From April 22 - 26, the East Troy branches (Franks Piggly Wiggly and East Brook office in the East Brook Plaza) will be collecting household items and baby gear.

Thank you to Lea for the nomination, and to the Wisconsin Bankers Association for selecting Gerard's Embrace!

Our team is excited to be participating in the Wisconsin Bankers Association Power of Community week, which starts Monday! We're joining other local banks across the state to celebrate our commitment to our communities.

It's going to be a whirlwind week of hosting drives, showing appreciation, cleaning up, and helping out. And you can show your support too - by donating to one of our drives!

- Our Vernon office will be collecting people and pet food for The FOOD Pantry Serving Waukesha County and Humane Animal Welfare Society - HAWS of Waukesha.

- Our two East Troy offices will be collecting household items and baby gear for Gerard's Embrace.

The Jewish holiday of Passover, which commemorates the Israelites’ escape from slavery in Egypt, began on Friday evening and ends this evening. A very happy and blessed Passover to our Jewish brethren!

We hope everyone is having a Blessed Triduum, which started yesterday on Holy Thursday with the commemoration of the Last Supper. Today, Good Friday, Christians remember the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ. Holy Saturday is a day of reflection in anticipation of the celebration of Christ's resurrection on Easter Sunday. Many blessings to you all!
