I joined the APOPS forum to support my mom, who pr*****ed in her teens because of her hEDS. I also have hEDS. I'm actually older now than she was when my mom started prolapsing. She worked in the healthcare industry for quite a while, so she was always enthusiastic about educating my brother and me about our own bodies and how to take care of them. Once my mom learned about hEDS and pelvic organ prolapse, she also taught me methods of prevention before any problems developed. APOPS has been a great help, both in giving my mom an informative and supportive network of people in the same situation and in giving me information about how to protect myself from pelvic organ prolapse. Even if I can't prevent it entirely, APOPS will help me figure out my options and find reliable doctors from day one.
