he Rotary Club of Mukwonago had the privilege of honoring Don Jensen of the Town of Mukwonago Police Department as our Law Enforcement Officer of the Year.

Don has dedicated more than 40 years to serving and protecting others following his service in the United States Marine Corps. His distinguished law enforcement career includes serving as a Police Sergeant with the Milwaukee Police Department, a Lieutenant with the Twin Lakes Police Department, and Chief of Police in East Troy, Wisconsin.

In recent years, Don has continued his commitment to public service as a part-time officer with the Town of Mukwonago Police Department, focusing on policy development and investigations. The Town of Mukwonago benefits greatly from Retired Chief Jensen's wealth of experience, leadership, and mentorship.

We are proud to recognize Officer Jensen for his outstanding career and his many years of service to our communities. Thank you, Don, for your dedication, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to making a difference.

Our club was pleased to welcome Sarah Hein, Executive Director of the Christmas Clearing Council (CCC) of Waukesha County.

The CCC connects families in need with generous sponsors and provides a holiday toy store that serves thousands of children each year. We’re proud to continue our support with a $500 donation to help make their 2026 toy store possible.

Their work brings hope, dignity, and joy to families—during the holidays and beyond.

Our club was pleased to welcome Steve Anderson, President & CEO of Anderson Commercial Real Estate, along with Sr. Vice President Ray Goodden, at our most recent meeting. They provided an update on the proposed development of the former “Kiwanis Park” property at the corner of NN & Hwy 83.

They explained that at this stage, no future tenants have been finalized, but the general vision includes a mix of retail and small‑scale dining options that would complement the needs of the community. If all continues to move forward, the development could begin taking shape over the next 18–24 months.

We appreciate Steve and Ray for sharing their time and for keeping our community informed as this project evolves.

We were honored to welcome Ronald McDonald House ambassador Randi Suttles to our recent meeting. She shared powerful insight into how the House supports families navigating the stress and uncertainty of having a child in need of extended medical care.

With Children’s Wisconsin drawing patients from across the country and around the world, many families arrive far from home at one of the most difficult moments of their lives. Randi highlighted how the Ronald McDonald House provides an affordable, comforting, and truly welcoming place to stay—offering stability, compassion, and a sense of community when families need it most.

Service that strengthens families is service that strengthens communities. 💛

A big thank‑you to Abby Armour, Mukwonago Community Library director and Nikki Verheyden, capital campaign committee member for recently sharing the vision behind the “Our Library, Our Future” capital campaign and renovation project.

We’re excited to see plans for an expanded MetaSpace 511 makerspace, park‑accessible restrooms, a refreshed children’s area, and more — all within the library’s existing footprint.

Proud to support a project that strengthens learning, creativity, and community.

Thank you to all who came out to support our event and enjoy Burning Red - A Taylor Tribute last night. We had an enthusiastic crowd who enjoyed 2 1/2 hours of non-stop Swiftie hits. A special thank you to Burning Red: Tribute to Taylor for putting on a top-quality concert for us!
