Led by artist Lara Cornell, this gathering at Caponi Art Park in Eagan reimagines where color comes from. As you move through the park, you’ll visit pigment stations and answer trivia about the land and sustainability. Each answer earns you plant- and food-waste-based materials—an onion skin, a fallen petal, a spent bloom. You’ll then carry those materials back to the dye station, where you’ll transform them into your own colors and use them in hands-on creations of your own.

Have you tried birding at Caponi Art Park?

With 60 acres of woods and open spaces, the park is home to a variety of bird species. Many visitors use bird identification apps to help discover who's singing, soaring, or nesting nearby.

At Caponi Art Park, caring for the environment means maintaining trails, stewarding natural habitats, restoring landscapes, and creating opportunities for people to connect with nature.

We're working toward a $10,000 fundraising goal to support restoration efforts, and we still need $6,500 by June 30 to reach our goal.
