“I have learned to know God. I understood that His Word has an important meaning in our lives.”
These simple words came from Mariam, a 10-year-old girl from Armenia. But in her family, those words once seemed almost impossible.
For years, tradition, fear, and opposition kept the door to church firmly closed. Then God opened another door through a classmate’s invitation to a Tomorrow Club.
Week by week, through Bible lessons, camps, songs, and friendships, something beautiful began to happen. Mariam, who had been withdrawn, fearful, and sometimes angry, began to change. Peace replaced tension. Joy replaced fear.
Today, Mariam and her sisters have been part of Tomorrow Clubs for three years. Family members who once resisted no longer oppose their involvement. And Mariam’s mother, watching her children sing, quietly said:
“My heart fills up, and I realize there is peace here.”
God often begins with a child. And sometimes, through one child’s transformed life, He opens the heart of an entire family.
That is the quiet power of long-term, Christ-centered discipleship: a child learns to follow Jesus, a family begins to see His love, and the church of tomorrow takes shape - one life at a time.
