Oleksandra is 15, but she has already carried more loss than most people face in a lifetime.
When war broke out in Eastern Ukraine, her family was forced to flee their home. Not long after, her mother passed away. Suddenly, Oleksandra and her two younger brothers were left without the stability and care every child needs.
She felt lost, lonely, and without hope.
Then God provided someone to step in. A woman named Tanya welcomed the children into her family and brought them to church.
Through the church, she joined a Tomorrow Club and started to experience something she hadn’t felt in a long time—hope. She began learning about Jesus and building relationships with leaders and other young people who genuinely cared for her. That winter, she made the decision to follow Christ, and in her words, it felt like a heavy weight had been lifted from her shoulders. Joy began to come back.
Since then, the club has become a place of friendship, support, and healing. Oleksandra is now studying at a Christian Teen Bible Academy and has even started serving in the club herself.
Today, she dreams of finishing school and becoming a psychologist—or maybe a pastry chef. But above all, she wants her life to stay rooted in God, and she says she never wants to lose hope in Him again.
Thank you for helping make stories like Oleksandra’s possible. Because of your support, local churches can surround children with steady love, Gospel hope, and long-term discipleship when they need it most.
