Not just the finished piece. The process. The decision-making. The quiet moments where your hands know what to do before your mind catches up.
Art in Action gives makers a platform to do exactly that. As one of just 8–10 selected vendors at this intimate outdoor market, you'll have space to sell your handmade work and offer short live demonstrations of your craft — giving people a rare, real look at what it means to make something by hand.
This is a community that values slowness, quality, and the story behind every piece. If that's the kind of work you do, we'd love to have you.

Art in Action was created with one mission in mind: to bring people closer to the creative process and inspire a love of the arts in everyone who walks through. As a vendor, you're not just selling your work — you're part of something bigger.

There's something powerful about watching something be made.
Art in Action isn't just a market — it's a stage. As one of just 8–10 selected vendors, you'll have the chance to demonstrate your craft live, giving visitors a real window into your creative process. Each demo is short (10 minutes or less), but the impact lasts.
Whether you weave, throw clay, stamp leather, or carve wood — if you make it by hand and can show others how it's done, we want to hear from you.

⚡ Calling all artists and makers — the deadline is coming fast.

Applications for Art in Action close August 5, and spots are extremely limited.

Only 8–10 vendors will be selected for this intimate maker market, presented by Dakota Center for the Arts in partnership with Eagan Art House during Art Block.

If you have a booth for selling your work and love sharing your process with others, this is your event. Selected artists will sell their work and give short live demonstrations of their craft throughout a 4-hour outdoor market on September 12, 2026.
