This past week, Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation President Dan Glessing joined staff from the Minnesota Department of Agriculture, along with business and agriculture leaders from across the state, on a trade and business mission to Denmark and Sweden.

The delegation met with government, business and economic development leaders to strengthen international partnerships and advance Minnesota’s leadership in a variety of sectors, including agriculture.

Today, our member leaders representing the breadth of Minnesota agriculture met with Senate Majority Leader John Thune and Michele Tafoya to discuss current issues facing agriculture and how we can continue moving forward to support our industry.

These conversations with decision makers are an important part of our grassroots members leading the discussion and advocating for Minnesota agriculture. Our members represented their fellow farmers and ranchers by bringing their voices to the table.

4-H, learn by doing! National 4-H Week starts Monday, and today we were excited to welcome the new Minnesota 4-H Agriculture Ambassadors to the Minnesota Farm Bureau office for their orientation.

They connected with Farm Bureau and Extension staff, along with Commissioner of Agriculture Thom Petersen, and learned more about Farm Bureau’s work supporting agriculture across Minnesota and the partnerships between 4-H and Farm Bureau.

We're thankful for the opportunity to host these agriculture leaders and be part of their 4-H experience!
