Dr. Judith Joseph noticed something in both her clinical research and therapy practice: People were struggling, but they were still showing up. They were working. Caring for others. Go behind the scenes in Duke research labs. Explore the dark universe with Duke cosmologists. Build a rocket. Step inside a hyperbaric chamber. Learn about robotics, telescope technology and remote sensing. Hear from faculty, students and experts—and cap it all off with an evening of stargazing. 🔭

From betting pencils and milk on Duke-Carolina games as a kid to serving on Duke’s Board of Trustees, Ross Harris ’78, M.B.A.’80 has had Duke woven through much of her life.

Her career has been just as memorable: a White House internship, presidential campaigns, advertising, political consulting and years spent helping aspiring public servants learn to listen across differences.

Today, one phrase comes up often: “I never thought about it that way.”
