North Carolina State Employees Combined Campaign

North Carolina State Employees Combined Campaign The NC SECC's aim is to strengthen and sustain North Carolina communities and its citizens.

The NC SECC assures state employees and retirees continuous opportunity to support charitable organizations that are accountable, fiscally sound, and committed to improving the quality of life in our state, nation, and the world. As the official workplace giving campaign for state employees, the NC SECC operates under regulations codified in Title 1, Chapter 35 of the NC Administrative Code. North

Carolina General Statutes authorize the NC SECC to offer payroll deduction as an option for state employees contributing to one or more of the charitable organizations approved to participate in the annual campaign. Federations and independent charities must apply each year and meet rigorous standards including, but not limited to, reasonable overhead costs, audited financial statements, all licenses as required by law, policies of non-discrimination, and proof of services to the residents of North Carolina.

❤️ Thank You for Supporting Our DAC SECC Plate Sale! ❤️🇺🇸

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who volunteered in the kitchen, donated their time, and purchased a plate to support this special fundraiser benefiting veteran and military families.

Because of your generosity, we came together as a community and made a meaningful difference for those who have served our country. Every plate purchased helps provide support, hope, and resources to military members, veterans, and their families.

We are grateful for each person who rolled up their sleeves, spread the word, and showed up to support this cause. When we unite for a common purpose, amazing things happen.

Together, we served more than a meal—we served our community. 🇺🇸

🌎 Caring for the Earth isn’t something we do just one day a year, it’s an ongoing movement to nourish, protect, and preserve our planet so future generations inherit a healthier world.

At the 10th Annual Stop Food Waste Day, I learned simple, practical ways we can all reduce food waste at home. Here are five easy habits to start today:

1️⃣ Make a list
A family of four can waste up to $1,500 a year in food. Plan ahead and buy only what you know you’ll use.

2️⃣ Master the art of freezing
Leftovers don’t belong in the trash—freeze them for another day.

3️⃣ Save water through mindful eating
Wasting just one pound of meat equals running a shower for 370 minutes. Consider reducing meat consumption or joining Meatless Mondays.

4️⃣ Don’t be bananas 🍌
Use overripe bananas for banana bread, and compost the peels to enrich your garden.

5️⃣ Get creative with what you have
Use AI or simple recipe ideas to turn fridge leftovers into something new and delicious.

Small actions at home can lead to a big environmental impact.

If you’d like to do even more, consider supporting efforts like those led by the North Carolina State Employees Combined Campaign:

Gratitude to the organizations helping drive environmental impact every day, including Food Tank, Envision Charlotte, and EarthShare NC for hosting and advancing this important work.

Together, we can reduce waste, protect resources, and build a more sustainable future!

While our 2025 campaign officially ended on January 15, the spirit of service never stops. 💙

During this recent snowstorm, we are especially grateful for North Carolina’s essential workers including police officers, EMTs, first responders, and state employees who showed up for our communities when it mattered most. Your commitment to service keeps neighbors safe, supported, and connected through every season.

Thank you for answering the call, serving with heart, and reminding us that the work of caring for one another continues, no matter the weather. ❄️💙

🎉 Happy New Year! 🎉

As we begin 2026, help us close out 2025 by supporting the charities that serve our North Carolina communities. One easy way to make a difference is through payroll deduction with the State Employees Combined Campaign, which supports more than 750 charities statewide.

Even $3, $5, or $10 a month adds up to meaningful impact over the year. Many charities are struggling right now, and your generosity helps keep doors open, programs running, and hope alive.

Let’s start the year by giving where we live and making a lasting impact. 💙
