EarthShare NC members are working hard to keep North Carolina's wildlife wild.

Carolina Tiger Rescue expanded their rescue efforts by adding four new species, including Red Wolves and Asian Leopard Cats. Carolina Raptor Center trained over 150 people in raptor care and education. And the NC Wildlife Federation participated in 114 habitat restoration projects, removing 115,785 lbs of litter and planting 5,323 trees and plants, while reaching a historic milestone of 3,000 registered Butterfly Highway pollinator pitstops!

Waypoint Adventure is helping folks with disabilities and their families get outdoors with accessible kayaking, hiking, and outdoor adventures! We're so grateful for our partnership and for our members who help us to provide essential funding that make these events financially accessible for community members.

We can't wait to celebrate their impact at at Lake James State park on July 24th! This event will be an opportunity for community members to learn more about Waypoint's disability-friendly adventures and programs and discover new ways to support these efforts.

Across a week of more than a dozen free virtual workshops you’ll learn directly from the experts, advocates, and neighbors working on the issues shaping your daily life: rising energy costs, the impact of AI and data centers, purchasing power, and the programs and incentives that can help you act today. The 17th and final Earth Day impact story!

We're wrapping up our Earth Day impact reports with a particularly exciting group! Wells Fargo partnered with Daniel Stowe Conservancy for a day of habitat restoration that earned this team the unofficial name, Snake Charmers.

Volunteers tackled invasive autumn olive in small groups, clearing a full acre of growth and making an immediate, visible impact on the land despite working through heat and heavy pollen. Staff were effusive: 'Everyone worked so well together and tackled invasive plants like pros.' Beyond the hard work, the team's genuine curiosity was evident. Multiple volunteers handled a native black racer snake on site and peppered staff with questions about the local ecosystem and how to be better stewards of it.

Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden preserves and connects people with the natural world, and Earth Day Events brings partners who show up not just to work, but to learn. Wells Fargo has already expressed interest in returning, and we could not be happier to hear it.
