Ramp-Up Study

Ramp-Up Study RAMP-UP seeks to understand women’s thoughts and experiences about medical risk and research while pregnant.

RAMP-UP is a qualitative research study aimed at understanding methods for collecting patient perspectives of health and health care. RAMP-UP seeks to do this by comparing traditional face-to-face methods of data collection with various online methods. As part of these efforts, RAMP-UP will use this data collection opportunity to investigate women’s thoughts and experiences about medical risk and

research while pregnant. Currently, very little information is available on this topic to public health researchers and providers. By investigating these methodologies with postpartum women, RAMP-UP hopes not only to provide patient-centered researchers with evidence-based recommendations for employing qualitative research, but also to addresses a patient-centered issue affecting women’s reproductive experiences and decision-making.
