🌿 **Honoring Indigenous Peoples’ Day**

Today, we recognize and honor the histories, cultures, resilience, and enduring contributions of Indigenous peoples.

We acknowledge the Indigenous communities whose traditions, knowledge, and leadership continue to shape Michigan and our nation. Today is also an opportunity to listen, learn, and recognize the importance of respect, understanding, and meaningful connections within our communities.

At THAW, we believe stronger communities begin with dignity, compassion, and a commitment to helping people move forward.

💚 World Mental Health Day | October 10

Mental health and overall well-being are deeply connected to having a safe, stable place to call home. 💚

For individuals and families facing utility insecurity, the stress of keeping the lights on, heating their homes, or staying cool during extreme temperatures can take a toll on more than just their finances. It can impact peace of mind, health, and the ability to focus on what matters most.

At THAW, we believe everyone deserves the comfort, security, and peace of mind that comes with a stable home. Through utility assistance, community resources, and supportive programs, we work to ease the burden on Michigan families and help them move forward with greater stability.

Today, and every day, let's remember to check in on one another, lead with compassion, and recognize that sometimes the greatest support we can offer is simply letting someone know they're not alone. 💚
