STATEMENT ON U.S.-CANADIAN TRADE RELATIONS:

"Escalating tensions and tariffs will only cause economic pain on both sides of the border, especially in Michigan and the binational Detroit-Windsor region. Our economies are intertwined, interconnected, and stronger together; the sooner normalcy is restored the better. The only winners in this prolonged trade war are our global competitors, such as China, who are trying to capitalize on any weakness in our North American trade bloc.”

After walking the Gordie Howe International Bridge this week, the Chamber and MichAuto teams are challenging companies on both sides of the border to do the same with their staff to celebrate the people, partnerships, and shared future that make our Region stronger. Take photos, share your experience, and tag us on social media. We'll spotlight participating member organizations and help showcase the strength of the U.S.-Canada partnership. 🇺🇸 🤝 🇨🇦

Today, Detroit Regional Chamber and MichAuto team members walked the Gordie Howe International Bridge between Detroit and Windsor. Halfway, we met up with our partners at the Windsor Essex Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the new connection between our two countries.

The Chamber encourages companies on both sides of the border to walk the bridge in recognition of the importance of the relationship between the U.S. and Canada.

Nearly 8 in 10 students who have stopped out of college cite basic needs or financial challenges as a contributing factor.

That's why the Detroit Regional Chamber's Detroit Drives Degrees program is working with Henry Ford College, Wayne State University, and United Way for Southeastern Michigan to help students stay on track and earn a credential.
