Faith, Fashion, and Unstoppable Dreams: The Story of Al Bartel (Algernon Bartell)

On this powerful episode of The Claudreen Jackson Show, we invite you into the inspiring world of Al Bartel — a pastor, entrepreneur, and living testimony that dreams stitched with faith can create a masterpiece.
Born the 12th of 14 children, Al didn’t grow up with luxury. He wore the hand-me-downs of his older brothers — men who dressed sharply and carried themselves with style. From those well-worn clothes, a spark ignited. Al discovered not just a love for fashion, but a belief that style could be both fun and timeless, a way to express dignity, confidence, and hope.
With nothing but a trunk full of clothes and a dream, Al hit the streets of Detroit. Selling garments out of his car, facing rejection after rejection, he never gave up. "Follow your dreams," he says. "Just get up and keep going. Don’t take no for an answer. Do what’s right — and be led by God."
Al's faith and perseverance paved a road to success few could have imagined. From his first humble office in Oak Park to now owning five vibrant stores on Detroit’s legendary Avenue of Fashion, Al Bartel stands as proof that God's promises are stitched into every step of obedience.

His journey is not just about fashion — it’s about faith, fortitude, and the timeless truth that with God, all things are possible.
The Claudreen Jackson Show proudly celebrates exceptional, remarkable people like Al Bartel — individuals who don't just dream, but inspire others to dream bigger.
