What a summer it has been with our Trail Keepers at Eliza Howell Park!
Last Wednesday, we celebrated the incredible work of our first-ever Trail Keepers Fellowship cohort with their final presentations alongside the Trail Keepers Collective. 💚
Over the past 15 weeks, our Fellows have spent their summer learning, working, leading, and caring for Eliza Howell Park. Each Fellow had the opportunity to lead members of the Collective and share what they’ve learned throughout the program.
A huge congratulations to our Fellows and a warm welcome to our Collective. We’re so proud of everything you accomplished this summer and grateful for all the energy, care, and curiosity you brought to the park.
And a very special thank you to Alexus, who dreamed up and built this program from the ground up. As she put it:
“It has been a dream come true to build this program and watch it unfold over the past 15 weeks.
It has been an honor to be on this journey with this year’s pilot cohort. Watching them grow in confidence, build meaningful relationships with one another, and expand their knowledge has been something I am incredibly proud of.
I hope we have built something they will carry with them long after this program ends: something they look back on as a core memory, a source of pride, and a reminder of what they are capable of.”
And a big thank you to Kat, who has worked in the field every day with our Trail Keepers, and to every other collaborator, supporter, and program partner who made this possible.
Here’s to the first Trail Keepers cohort, and to everything still ahead. 🌱
