EVERY GREAT SHOW needs people behind the scenes -- the tech workers who engineer the sound, control the lighting, raise and lower curtains and other tasks. If you or someone you know is studying theater tech at the college level, make sure they know about he Jazz Goes to College scholarships.

Co-sponsored by the Detroit Jazz Festival Foundation and I.A.T.S.E. Local 38, these are $2,500 awards to students who have shown initiative, professionalism and a positive attitude while continuing to pursue credits toward a tech degree.
