We are an outdoor, free community food pantry available 24/7 for anyone in need. Hosted by the Tenants Association of New Center Plaza and Marlenor. The Seward Sharing Table is a 24/7, zero barrier access point to food and an inclusive sense of community. Take what you need and give what you can, anytime of day or night. This is a non judgmental safe space free of any stigma or criticism of any as
pect of a person's life. Take one item, or an entire bag of food. We do not support any kind of policing about who, when or how many items are taken from The Seward Sharing Table. Not only does The Seward Sharing Table support our neighbors who are facing food insecurity, but it also helps to build our community by connecting residents of Seward Ave who otherwise may have never met. In our neighborhood, some of us have enough or more than enough, while some of us simply do not have enough. This is why The Seward Sharing Table encourages local residents to both give to and take from The Table. Through this loop of giving and receiving we become a stronger and more connected community, making Seward Ave a safer and healthier place to live, for everyone. Food is a basic right and The Seward Sharing Table is available to anyone experiencing food insecurity, regardless of housing or employment status, wealth, physical or mental health, skin color or neighborhood. The Seward Sharing Table is for everyone and anyone who walks, rolls, scoots or drives by. The purpose of The Seward Sharing Table is to address immediate needs surrounding food insecurity, encourage community engagement, combat inequality, and empower us, the residents of Seward Ave, to make a positive impact in our own neighborhood.
