LABORERS’ LOCAL 1191’s 2024 FAMILY DAY RESCHEDULED FOR SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 2024, 11:00AM - 4:00PM

Sisters and Brothers:

Local 1191’s Family Day has been rescheduled for Sunday, September 29, 2024, from 11:00AM to 4:00PM, at the Local Union Hall (located at 2161 W. Grand Blvd., Detroit, MI 48180). Please join us for family fun, food trucks and entertainment!

Members interested in this year’s Membership gift from the Local Union should plan to attend the Rescheduled Family Day event on September 29th. The Local Union will not authorize a representative to pick up the gift for multiple members at a time. Also, there is no plan to distribute the member gift on job sites.

Parking will be available in the parking lot behind Detroit Collegiate Preparatory High School at Northwestern, located at 2200 W. Grand Blvd., Detroit, MI 48208 and in the empty lot on the corner of Lawton Street near the Rio Gran Motel on West Grand Blvd.

PLEASE NOTE, NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES WILL BE PROVIDED OR PERMITTED TO BE CONSUMED IN PARKING AREAS OR EVENT GROUNDS.

On Monday, September 5, 2022, Laborers' Local 1191 will resume its Labor Day Celebration in the Union Hall parking lot, located at 2161 W. Grand Blvd., Detroit, MI 48208 from 11:00am-4:00pm. Due to a limited selection of food and beverages, Members are permitted to only bring immediate family members.

On Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. EST, LiUNA!'s General President Terry O'Sullivan will be holding a Telephone Town Hall Meeting to disuss Our Union and the importance of the 2020 Presidential Election.

On October 8, 2020, you will receive a call at or around 7:00 p.m. that will connect you to the Telephone Town Hall. Please pick up the phone and join the call if you're able.

We need to have a good turnout to show the General President the strength of our Union in Michigan!

On behalf of the Executive Board, please be advised that Local 1191's monthly Membership Meetings will resume this upcoming Friday, October 2, 2020, at 7:00 p.m.

Please also be advised that there will be limited capacity for Friday's Membership Meeting in accordance with the CDC and the State of Michigan's restrictions on gatherings during this COVID-19 pandemic.

Therefore, you must notify the Local Union by phone tomorrow, October 1, 2020, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., if you plan to attend the meeting.

A list of Members interested in attending the meeting will be compiled in the order for which they were received, and Local 1191 Staff will admit those members who signed up into the meeting until we reach capacity.
