Know your clock. Your contract doesn't enforce itself. An unfiled violation quietly becomes the new practice, and grievance deadlines run fast.
Not sure where you stand? Call your Union rep early and say: "I have a possible grievance, and I believe my filing deadline is in seven working days." Asking early costs nothing. Asking late costs the case.

This Friday, September 4, wear your GAA shirt to work and show your solidarity with fellow members across every chapter, department, and worksite. If you don't have a GAA shirt, wear royal blue and stand proud with your union brothers and sisters.
GAA Day is a reminder that our strength comes from standing together. Labor Day exists because working people organized, and that legacy continues today through our collective voice, our contract, and our commitment to one another.

Called into a meeting that could lead to discipline? You have the right to a union representative — but only if you ask for it.
Say this: "If this discussion could lead to my being disciplined, I request that my union representative be present."
Three things to remember: 👉 You have to ask — it's not automatic. 👉 Never refuse to attend the meeting. 👉 If you're denied a rep, attend, say on the record that you requested one, and call your GAA representative right away.
