🚨 TAKE ACTION TODAY 🚨

The Community Redevelopment Tax Credit (CRTC) is being heard today before the Michigan Senate Economic & Community Development Committee, and READ is advocating on behalf of developers, neighborhoods, and communities across Detroit and Michigan.

The CRTC is a critical redevelopment tool that can help:
🏗️ Close financing gaps
🏘️ Unlock stalled development projects
🏢 Revitalize commercial corridors
🏛️ Preserve historic buildings
🌱 Support neighborhood reinvestment and growth

For many community-focused developments, this incentive could be the difference between a project moving forward or remaining on the sidelines.

We have an opportunity to demonstrate strong industry support before today’s hearing.

✅ Complete the support form (it takes less than 10 seconds)
✅ READ will submit a card of support on your behalf
✅ Help show lawmakers the broad impact this legislation can have across Michigan

Every submission matters.
Every voice counts.
Every project counts.

👇 COMMENT “SUPPORT” BELOW and we’ll send you the direct link to stand with READ in supporting the Community Redevelopment Tax Credit (CRTC).

Together, we can advocate for the tools our communities need to build, preserve, and grow.

READ’s Lender Fair brought developers, emerging developers, lenders, and real estate professionals into one room for a clear purpose: to create direct access to the capital partners helping move real projects forward across Detroit.

This event was designed to go beyond networking. It created space for meaningful conversations around financing, project readiness, lending criteria, funding pathways, and the relationships developers need to advance their work in the real estate field.

Thank you to every lender who joined us and made themselves available to our community:

Invest Detroit
Fifth Third Bank
InterCapital Funding
LISC Detroit
First Merchants Bank
Gold Shield Lending
Opportunity Resource Fund
Cinnaire
Ebiara
ProsperUs Detroit
IFF

We also want to thank our guests, READ members, emerging developers, and real estate professionals who showed up ready to connect, ask questions, and take the next step in their development journey.

A special thank you to READ’s partner, Henry Ford Health, for speaking on their partnership with READ, sharing more about their RFVQ, and highlighting our collective focus on helping build a better Detroit.

Events like this reflect READ’s mission to cultivate, connect, and advocate for developers while strengthening the ecosystem around them.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success.

Not all lenders fund the same deals.

Some lenders are focused on affordable housing.
Some specialize in construction financing.
Others focus on emerging developers, commercial lending, or community-driven projects.

The key is knowing who to talk to and what they’re actually looking for.

That’s exactly why READ is bringing multiple lenders, funding organizations, and financial institutions into ONE room for our upcoming Lender Fair.

Whether you’re:
• developing single-family homes
• working on a mixed-use project
• building multifamily housing
• looking for construction financing
• trying to better understand capital stacks
• or simply figuring out where to start

this event was built to help move your project forward. ďżź

This is more than networking.
This is access to capital, relationships, and real development opportunities. ďżź

Three buses. Real projects. Real access. Real conversations you can’t get anywhere else.

If you were in the room, you felt it. If you weren’t… don’t miss our Fall Bus Tour.

From single-family homes to mixed-use developments, this year’s Bus Tour showed what’s possible when you’re in the right rooms, around the right people, at the right time. We hope something you saw sparked a seed for how you’re going to move in this development space.

Huge thank you to the developers who opened their projects and gave real insight:
Roderick A. Hardamon, George N’Namdi, Brandon Hodges, Damon Dickerson, W. Emery Matthews, and Lindsey Roland.

These rooms don’t stay open for long.
