***BackGround/Description***
My own poor experience while homeless, with limited support from government and some privately funded organizations, Land Lords, Banking/Lending and Realty institutions inspired me to begin my own Homeless Initiative: Essie Ree’s Homes for the Homeless: A self generating and common sense model, founded on the values of Community, Charity & Service. Those fundamentals a

re the very principles and lifestyle my beautiful grandmother, Essie Ree Wilmer embodied until her home going August 2011 and is the driving force behind this organization. Created June 10, 2012 and incorporated December 3, 2012, we are geared to actively eradicate homelessness and committed to serving the people first before personal financial interests in efforts to create balance between established economic ideals/classes and human needs/rights. We intend to compliment currently established homeless initiatives, transitional housing and community outreach & development organizations and others to achieve success.


***PROJECT Love --->(To) Change: Plan of Action/Attack***

To achieve greatness of the individual, we will provide low cost housing accompanied by mandatory job readiness, financial awareness classes, optional general knowledge courses and ongoing counseling services. We restore the greatness of the city in providing housing, offering a stable solution to the swirling vacant, sitting property issue. The construction of parks & playgrounds provides a method to reduce crime among the youth while solving the vacant field/lot issue. To restore the greatness of our Earth we will also use vacant fields to naturally grow fresh fruits & veggies for local usage and tree sites to naturally filter our air. Deconstruction efforts offers recyclables & use of energy efficient appliances reduces energy usage. To put it simply:
Love ---> Change
1) Low Cost rental housing for the homeless ---> Active eradication of homelessness
2) Outreach Programs + Community Services ---> Active rehabilitation of the individual/family.
3) "Forgotten Homes/Buildings" Rehabilitation + Lost Community revitalization ---> Neighborhood AND city rejuvenation.
4) Greening our City ---> Healing to our Earth. Remember, all things work TOGETHER for the greater good that is this Balance & Peace. So loving commitment & dedicated community participation is vital. United this mission will be completed.
