Today, the Capuchin Soup Kitchen includes the Meldrum and Conner Street Meal Programs, the Capuchin Services Center, the Earthworks Urban Farm Program, the Rosa Parks Children & Youth Program, the Jeff

erson House Alcohol & Drug Rehabilitation Program, the ROPE (Reaching Our Potential Everyday) Program, and our On the Rise Bakery Café.

We are so grateful to the Mt Clemens FOE 1269 for their generous donation to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen. This is the result of much hard work and numerous activities over the past year in order to make this gift that will help us serve our guests. The Eagles are centered on the principle of “people helping people”. They have certainly demonstrated that they are true to this principle. Executive Director Br. Gary Wegner and Assistant Director Br. Tien Dinh accepted the donation from Aerie #1269 President Ben Goers and Auxiliary President Sheila Puglia. Br. Tien, Br. Gary and Br. McLean Bennett enjoyed a great dinner and fellowship with the members.

The Holy Spirit moves through acts of compassion, welcome and shared humanity. Every day at the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, meals become moments of dignity, hope and connection for our neighbors in need. As we serve around the table, we are reminded that the Spirit continues to nourish hearts and build community through simple acts of love.

“Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love.” 🔥🕊️
