The Capuchin Soup Kitchen got its official start in 1929 following the collapse of the stock market and the beginning of the Great Depression when the Capuchins began serving meals to those in need. Yesterday we were delighted to come join all of you at the 32nd Annual Feast of St. Antonio held at Antonio's Cucina Italiana locations across Metro Detroit. Donations from this wonderful event help support the programs at both Gleaners Community Food Bank and the Capuchin Soup Kitchen and it was a bonus getting to enjoy some delicious Italian food 🍝 as well! Thanks to your support, this wonderful summer event, along with the Edmund T. Ahee Capuchin Endowment Fund for Hunger has raised millions since its inception in 1981. We can't wait for the 45th Annual Capuchin Souper Summer Celebration this Saturday, June 13, beginning at 7:30pm! Join us for a fun night of music, fireworks, and an incredible raffle.

There are two ways to support the Capuchin Soup Kitchen through the Capuchin Souper Summer Celebration, you may purchase raffle tickets for a chance at winning some exciting jewelry and you can help us raise support by making a donation to the Edmund T. Ahee Capuchin Endowment Fund for Hunger.

Join us this month on Monday, June 15th at participating Antonio's locations throughout Metro Detroit for the 32nd Feast of St. Antonio supporting the Capuchin Soup Kitchen and Gleaners Community Food Bank!

Visit any Antonio's Cucina Italiana (or Piccolo Ristorante) location between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. for a FREE lunch buffet! Donate what you can and enjoy the buffet or you can order from the menu between 11:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. and a portion of the price of your meal will be donated to help support Gleaners and the Capuchin Soup Kitchen.

Keep an eye out and you may spot some of our friars out enjoying a meal with you during lunchtime! See you there!

Thanks Tigers fans for making today a grand slam! Sunday, June 7 was Capuchin Day at Comerica Park where supporters came out to watch the Detroit Tigers bring home a W against the Mariners and help support the Soup Kitchen and its mission. A portion of the day's 50/50 raffle also supported the Soup Kitchen. Go get 'em Tigers!
