Arukah Arukah is a hub for healing. Arukah’s Mission is to meet the needs of women and families in our community. At Aruakh, we offer two programs.

We focus on restoring the health and wellness, as well as the financial well-being of Detroit families, by providing programming and resources that empower families and create thriving communities. Through Arukah Restores, we provide women who have experienced having an abortion with resources to embark on their healing journey. Each woman enrolled in our program is a part of a free-virtual suppor

t group that offers emotional support, counseling and resources to help cop with the aftermath of abortion. Our Program Arukah Cares focuses on collaborating with organizations to assist and support families as caregivers. We know that many families are struggling to afford basic essentials for their babies. Through Arukah Cares, we aim to bridge the gap by providing famileis with access to neccesities such as clothing, diapers, bottle, etc.

What to expect at the Wellness Festival ✨🎉

We’ve got an afternoon planned tomorrow with movement, wellness workshops, community resources, and activities for the whole family. 🧡

Here’s a look at what’s happening throughout the Wellness Festival so you can plan your day!

🗓️ Festival Agenda:

12:30-1:00 PM - Pilates + Mindset Workshops
1:15-1:45 PM - Nutrition Workshop
2:30-3:00 PM - Financial Literacy + Community Self-Sufficiency Workshops
3:00-3:30 PM — Obstacle Course + Xtreme Hip-Hop

A few things to know:
Bring a yoga mat and a step for fitness workshops if you have one. We will a limited number available.

🎒 School supplies will be available first come, first served while supplies last, so arrive on time if you’d like to receive supplies!

Today marks the start of the Rocket Community Challenge! 🚀✨

This challenge is an opportunity to invest in nonprofits creating meaningful change across Metro Detroit, and we’re inviting you to be part of that impact.

At Arukah Restores, we strengthen families by supporting their physical health, mental well-being, and financial well-being because when families thrive, communities thrive.

Through the Rocket Community Challenge, your support will help more Detroit families access the programs, resources, and community they need to thrive. It will also help us prepare 150 Detroit students for the new school year through our Wellness Festival & Back-to-School Giveaway. 🎒

One thing about our Nourish Detroit families they make every workshop fun! ☺️🌱

We wrapped up our final gardening workshop of the summer with an afternoon of learning, great conversation and community. Led by Cultivator Q, families learned about fall planting, preparing for next year’s harvest, and how to care for plants in grow bags giving them practical tools and resources to feel empowered to grow nutritious food at home. 🧡

The kids enjoyed their own hands-on workshop, and every family received fresh groceries to take home thanks to our amazing partners Trader Joe's and MSU DPFLI. 🥬

We’re grateful for everyone who joined us this summer and can’t wait to see your gardens continue to grow! 🌿
