The LIBRE Initiative supports the bipartisan SBA Spanish Resource Report Act. The bill would require the SBA to publicly report on the Spanish-language resources it already provides, how they’re being used, and where gaps may exist, giving Congress and entrepreneurs a clearer picture of what’s available.

This bill would take out an unnecessary barrier to millions of Latino small business owners across America.

Housing is expensive, and rent control can sound like a simple solution.

But the experience of San Francisco, St. Paul, and New York shows why the debate doesn’t end with freezing or capping rents.

After San Francisco expanded rent control, research cited by LIBRE found affected rental supply fell 15%. In St. Paul, new building permits dropped from roughly 2,000 to fewer than 400 after the city capped annual rent increases at 3%. And in June 2026, Manhattan’s median rent reached $5,334 despite New York having more than 1 million regulated units. The LIBRE Initiative

If we want housing to become more affordable, we need to build more.

Sandra Benitez had a warning for anyone who thinks rhetoric alone will settle the debate over socialism:
It won’t.

“You don’t beat socialism with empty rhetoric. You beat it by fixing the conditions that make people think they need it in the first place.”

We need to make the arguments, but we also need to show results.
We need to push for the solutions that will make Latino families more prosperous and free.

Daniel Garza didn’t mince words.
There are a lot of politicians making the case for big government to Latinos. His message to Latinos: don’t sit this one out.

“As Latinos, we cannot stand idly by as those with top-down, big government aspirations continue to persuade a new generation.”

The debate over freedom and socialism is happening right now, and it will determine the future of our nation for years to come.
