đź’ś Today is Wear Purple Day! đź’ś

Today, we wear purple for survivors. For their strength, their courage, and their right to live a life free from violence and abuse.

In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we're inviting our community to turn the world purple and stand in solidarity with survivors of domestic violence.

Whether you're at work, at school, or out in your community, wearing purple is a simple but powerful way to raise awareness, spark conversations, and remind survivors that they are seen, heard, believed, and supported.

đź’ś Here's how you can participate:
📸 Wear your purple proudly and snap a photo!
đź’¬ Share why supporting survivors matters to you.
📲 Tag the Rose Andom Center so we can see and share your support!

Every conversation, every act of solidarity, and every show of support brings us one step closer to a future free from domestic violence.

Let's fill our feeds with purple today and show survivors that they are never alone! đź’ś

✨ The countdown is on! Just 3 days until our 10th Anniversary Reflections of Hope Gala! 💜

This Saturday, October 17th, we will gather at the Seawell Ballroom for an unforgettable evening celebrating 10 years of hope, healing, and impact!

We are thrilled to share that this year's gala is officially SOLD OUT! 🎉 We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support from our community and cannot wait to celebrate this milestone with the donors, partners, advocates, and friends who make our mission possible.

As we reflect on a decade of supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, we are reminded that none of this work would be possible without YOU. Together, we are building a future filled with safety, healing, and hope.

Throughout October, we’re grateful to partner with Olive & Finch and Little Finch for their Round Up campaign! When you visit Olive & Finch, you can choose to round up your purchase, with the additional change benefiting the Rose Andom Center.

Every contribution helps us continue providing free, comprehensive, survivor-centered services to individuals and families impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault.

Next time you stop by Olive & Finch, consider rounding up at checkout. A few cents at a time can add up to meaningful support for survivors in our community.

A huge thank you to Olive & Finch and everyone who chooses to round up this month for standing with survivors and supporting the Rose Andom Center! đź’ś

The beginning of the college year should be a time for connection, growth, and new experiences, but it can also bring an increased risk of sexual violence known as the “Red Zone.”

In our latest blog, Rose Andom Center Program Director Natasha Adler shares her perspective as both a survivor and university professor, exploring why this period matters, how we can shift the focus away from victim-blaming, and what it takes to create safer, more supportive campus communities. đź’ś

What an incredible way to begin Domestic Violence Awareness Month. đź’ś

Thank you to everyone who joined us for One Mile Closer to Hope. Whether you walked alongside us, volunteered, brought your team, wore purple, made a sign, or simply showed up in support, your presence sent a powerful message to survivors across our community: you are seen, you are supported, and you are not alone.

We are especially grateful to our speakers who shared their voices, perspectives, and commitment to supporting survivors and ending domestic violence. Thank you for helping make this gathering meaningful and reminding us why this work matters every day.

Seeing our community come together in solidarity was an incredible reminder of what is possible when we stand together.

The walk may be one mile, but every step brings us closer to a future free from domestic violence. Thank you for taking those steps with us. đź’ś

đź’śThe DVAM Walk is Tomorrow!đź’ś

Tomorrow, we walk together to raise awareness, stand with survivors, and show that ending domestic violence takes all of us.

Join the Rose Andom Center, partners, and community members for our Domestic Violence Awareness Month Walk. Wear purple, bring your friends, family, and coworkers, and help us fill the streets of Denver with a visible show of support for survivors.

We’ll gather at the Rose Andom Center to make posters between 9:15am and 9:45am before beginning the walk together at 10:00am to the Denver City and County Building, where we’ll hear from survivors and community leaders about the importance of taking action against domestic violence.

Wear purple. Show up. Walk with us.

We hope to see you tomorrow as we come together to make it clear that survivors are supported, believed, and never alone.đź’ś

The Rose Andom Center is offering Yoga for Survivors, a gentle, trauma-sensitive yoga program designed to support healing through movement, choice, grounding, reconnection, and rest.

Mondays
11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Rose Andom Center

No previous yoga experience is needed, and mats and blankets will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring a journal. Childcare is also available.

Offered in partnership with The Center for Trauma & Resilience, this class provides a supportive and welcoming space for survivors to focus on their well-being, connect with their bodies at their own pace, and make time for rest and self-care.

Classes will be led by Vanessa Williams, a trauma-sensitive yoga facilitator, somatic practitioner, Reiki provider, and community wellness leader. As Holistic Care Specialist at the Center for Trauma & Resilience, Vanessa develops accessible, body-centered wellness programs that support trauma survivors and underserved communities. Her approach centers on movement, rest, reflection, and connection, helping participants explore practices that can support healing and resilience.

We invite survivors to join us on Mondays and experience a space created for rest, movement, and connection.
