Grief therapist Amy Pickett-Williams, alongside faith representatives, will facilitate this gathering, which offers a warm space to honor loved ones and celebrate love in grief.

The Grief Series: Movement and Somatic Tools with Zach Peters

Grief often shows up in the body, not just the mind. It can bring tension, heaviness, restlessness, or numbness that words alone don’t capture.

This gentle, experiential session introduces simple movement and somatic practices that support grounding, presence, and self-compassion during the grieving process. The space is slow and welcoming, honoring each participant’s experience. Practices are accessible and choice based, so you can carry them into daily life.

This session welcomes clinicians, helping professionals, and anyone navigating grief or supporting someone through loss.

Grief, trauma, and stress settle into the body. This gentle class offers a mind-body-spirit approach to working with them, and everyone is welcome regardless of age, ability, culture, faith background, or sexual orientation.

WEDNESDAYS | 9:15–10:15 AM
Unity Spiritual Center: 3021 S University Blvd, Denver, CO 80210, and on Zoom (link provided after registration)

Something new: on the second Wednesday of each month, participants are invited to gather for lunch after class. A few members of our community started this tradition, and it has become a lovely part of the practice. We meet at a nearby spot, and each person pays for their own meal.

Bring a water bottle and a yoga mat if you have one. We keep extras to borrow.

Classes are donation based. Pay what you can.

The LIGHT Path: Become a Grief- and Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher

Grief and trauma live in the nervous system, not just the mind. The LIGHT Path is a professional training combining neuroscience, grief education, somatic practices, and yoga to prepare you for this work.

Open to helping professionals, educators, coaches, and aspiring yoga teachers. No prior yoga teaching experience is required.
