Today we're releasing a report that covers everything the Denver Basic Income Project has accomplished in the past 18 months, and where we're going.

Some highlights:
- We released a playbook that discusses how we built our model, and a documentary that tells the story visually through the participant experience.
- We haven't stopped supporting our participants with phone service and replacement phones, because we know how invaluable connectivity is.
- Speaking of connectivity, we are still connected with 147 participants of our original cohort, who participant in ongoing research and engage in advocacy work with us.
- We've presented across the country at multiple conferences, bringing participants with us to talk about our work and engage with like-minded direct cash advocates.
- We're exploring new models for participant-centered program design, including leadership and advocacy models and a shared wealth fund.

On August 1st, DBIP was proud to partner with Longer Tables for the Mile Long Table at the National Western Center celebrating Colorado's 150th birthday!

Several members of our DBIP community came out to join us with thousands of other Coloradans at the table to share stories and join in the kind of hospitality that has made Colorado special since its origins. We hope to see more of our community at more events like this in the future!

On July 25th, nine DBIP participants came together for a morning of leadership, connection, and imagining what comes next.

This gathering, funded by The Denver Foundation's Strengthening Neighborhoods grant, was built around a belief that sits at the heart of our work. The people who have lived through a system understand best how to lead change within it. Over the course of the day, participants named their own strengths, wrestled with what community governance really looks like, practiced facilitation, and wrote commitments into a leadership handbook they now carry forward.

We came together to reimagine leadership rooted in community, committed to liberation, and grounded in trust. And this is only the beginning.
