🔥 OHIO RECORD BREAKERS! 🔥
Two Ohio lifters just rewrote the record books in a big way at the Kings and Queens Fall Open on September 19th!

💥 Gene Dura stepped onto the platform with purpose and delivered. He smashed the Masters 3B bench press record in the 100kg weight class, hitting a strong 115kg press and locking in his place at the top.

⚡ James Barger didn’t just set a record — he set all of them. In Youth 3, he claimed new state records across the board:

Squat: 150kg
Bench: 82.5kg
Deadlift: 180kg
Total: 412.5kg

This is what Ohio strength looks like. Determined. Focused. Unstoppable.

Huge congratulations to Gene and James for raising the bar for every lifter in the state. 🏆🔥

Here is our NEW featured athlete, Dominc Bingham... fresh off this past weekends Kings & Queens meet, and his amazing 1st place performance at Raw Nationals!!

Here's a little about him...

My name is Dominic Bingham, and I am a sophomore at Defiance College majoring in Criminal Justice. I started powerlifting during my sophomore year of high school and I immediately fell in love with the sport. Powerlifting has become a huge part of my life and has taught me so many life lessons. My favorite competition so far has been Collegiate Nationals 2026. Competing at such a high level and being surrounded by other dedicated athletes was an amazing experience.

It's Olympia weekend!!!

🔥 Good luck to all the Ohio lifters stepping onto the Olympia platform this weekend in Las Vegas.

You’ve trained for this. You’ve earned this. Now it’s time to show the world what Ohio power really looks like.

The lights will be bright, the crowd loud, the stakes high — but Ohio lifters rise in moments exactly like this.

Go lift with grit, pride, and that unmistakable Ohio fire.
And hey… Vegas, baby. Let’s make it unforgettable.

Ohio came in strong at the USA Powerlifting Summer Showdown in Cleveland on September 5th — and our lifters walked away with a stack of new state records.

🔥 Larry Edwards (Masters 4, 67.5kg) delivered a historic performance, breaking EVERY M4 state record in his weight class. A full sweep and a masterclass in longevity and strength.

🔥 Michael Bodnar followed with his own domination in the 75kg class, claiming all the M4 records — and then leveling up to take every M5 record as well. Two divisions, total takeover.

⚡ Kierrick Koos set new Teen 1 squat and total records in the 60kg division, showing the kind of early talent that builds future champions.

💥 Oliver Dunagan put up a massive 165kg bench press, securing a new Teen 2 state record in the 140kg class with power to spare.

Ohio strength. Ohio standards. Ohio records.

Proud of every lifter who stepped onto that platform and raised the bar for our state.

Ohio, it’s our time again. Next week, our Masters and Raw Nationals lifters step onto the platform in Lombard, Illinois — and they’re bringing that unmistakable Ohio grit with them.

To every athlete making the trip: we’re behind you, we’re proud of you, and we know you’ll represent this state with strength, discipline, and heart.

Go ahead, show them how Ohio lifts.
