The NAMI Mid-Ohio staff + volunteers have been a little busy lately 😅💙

Between , , and event season, we realized we had so many moments we never got the chance to share — and they deserve their moment to shine!

Over the last month, NAMI Mid-Ohio has connected with the community in so many meaningful ways — from spending a morning with Powell United Methodist Church and attending QPR training to hanging out at Kids Healthy Day, a Saturday morning with the Windsor Senior Center for their Community Pancake Breakfast, NextGen members speaking at the Resiliency Ring at the Ohio Statehouse, hosting this year's NAMIWalks, and presenting on mental health throughout our community. It’s been a full and gratifying month.

We’re incredibly grateful to every organization, supporter, and community member who continues to show up for this mission — and to the NAMI Mid-Ohio staff and who put in the work every day to spread mental health awareness, build connections, and remind people they’re never alone.

Powerful stories, authentic conversations, and a shared commitment to more good days together — that's what the Community Conversation on Mental Health was all about.

We heard from three phenomenal speakers: Brianne (Mears) McFarland, Regional Vice President of A Kid Again; Dr. Megan Schabbing, System Medical Director of Psychiatric Emergency Services at OhioHealth; and Deanna Brant, Executive Director of Delaware-Morrow Mental Health & Recovery Services Board.

Each speaker reminded us of the need for mental health awareness, the importance of access to care, and the impact compassion can have on individuals and families navigating these difficult situations.

We are incredibly grateful to Delaware-Morrow Mental Health & Recovery Services Board and Delaware County Foundation for creating space for these important conversations.
