Tallahassee’s “Fix” for Overdevelopment-

So-called solutions shouldn’t create bigger problems. Yet here we are: Tallahassee’s answer to unchecked growth is pumping toilet water into our aquifers.

Florida’s aquifers are the lifeblood of our communities—our drinking water, our springs, our rivers. They’re not a dumping ground for failed policy. Instead of curbing reckless development, leaders are greenlighting projects that strain infrastructure, then disguising it as “innovation” by recycling wastewater straight into the system.

This isn’t smart growth. It’s a shortcut that gambles with public health and environmental integrity.

We deserve better:

🚗🌴 Beach Driving: Tradition, Tourism, or Trouble? Let’s Talk.

Volusia County’s beach driving policy has been debated for decades—and it’s time we hear directly from the people who live it.

Right now, we’ve got a patchwork of rules. Some want to keep it as-is. Others say it’s time to ban it altogether. And many believe there’s a middle ground.

Here are a few options being floated:

🔹 Keep current access rules 🔹 Ban beach driving entirely 🔹 Lift the ban and expand access 🔹 Allow seasonal driving (Spring Break, July, Raceweek, Bike Week) 🔹 Create a local permit system for special events—limited to weekends or 3-day windows

I’m not here to push a one-size-fits-all answer. I want to hear from you.

📣 What do you think is the right path forward for Volusia’s beaches?

Drop your thoughts below 👇 Let’s make 8 great—together.
