**Provider Appreciation**

Early childhood educators play a vital role in helping children learn, grow, and thrive. Every day, they create safe, nurturing, and engaging environments where young minds can explore, build confidence, develop new skills, and form meaningful connections. Their dedication helps lay the foundation for a lifetime of learning and success.

From comforting a child on a difficult day to celebrating developmental milestones and encouraging curiosity, our providers and teachers make a lasting impact on the lives of children and families throughout our community. Their patience, compassion, and commitment do not go unnoticed.

Today, we celebrate and thank all the incredible early learning professionals who help shape the future, one child at a time. Your hard work, dedication, and passion make a difference every single day.

Parent Tip: Read Together Every Day!

Reading with your child for just **15 minutes a day** can have a lasting impact on their development. Sharing stories helps build language and vocabulary skills, strengthens listening and comprehension abilities, and encourages a lifelong love of learning. It also provides a wonderful opportunity for quality one-on-one time and meaningful conversations.

As you read together, ask questions about the story, point out pictures, and encourage your child to predict what might happen next. These simple interactions help develop critical thinking skills while making reading fun and engaging. Whether it's a favorite bedtime story, a trip to the library, or reading a book during the day, every page turned is a step toward future success.

Small moments spent reading today can help create confident readers and enthusiastic learners tomorrow!

Summer Learning Starts with Everyday Adventures!

Summer is full of opportunities for children to learn, grow, and explore the world around them. Whether it's taking a nature walk, visiting the library, creating crafts, enjoying music, or spending time playing outdoors, everyday experiences help build important skills that support healthy development.

Simple activities can encourage curiosity, strengthen language and communication skills, promote creativity, and help children develop confidence as they discover new things. Best of all, learning doesn't have to happen in a classroom, some of the most meaningful lessons happen through play, exploration, and spending quality time together as a family.

This summer, take advantage of the learning opportunities all around you and turn everyday moments into lasting memories. Every adventure, big or small, helps children develop the skills they need for future success!

Josh the Otter had a splashing good time at Plato's Playgrounds in Orange City today!

A special thank you to Ms. Jennifer and her wonderful staff for hosting this fun and educational event. We also extend our appreciation to our Classroom Readers, Ana Randolph and her son, for helping share important water safety tips with our little learners and their families.

Through stories, activities, and meaningful conversations, children had the opportunity to learn valuable lessons about staying safe around water while having fun. Thank you to everyone who joined us in promoting water safety and helping keep our community's children safe this summer!

Did you know that trampoline play can support your child’s development in many ways?

Jumping activities can help strengthen gross motor skills, support sensory regulation, improve visual-motor coordination, and provide a healthy outlet for energy while promoting focus and calmness.

If you live in Volusia or Flagler County and have a child age 5 or younger, we invite you to participate! The first 10 families to comment below and share how they would use a trampoline to support their child’s development will be contacted by ELCFV with information on how to pick up a Froggy Trampoline resource.

We look forward to hearing how your family would use this fun learning tool to encourage movement, play, and developmental growth!
