💜 IT HURTS… BUT HER VOICE STILL LIVES. 💜
There is a pain that words cannot fully explain. A pain that time does not erase. A pain that no mother should ever have to endure.
The pain of losing a child.
In her powerful poem, “It Hurts,” Annette L. Anderson gives voice to the heartbreak of losing her beloved daughter, Yolonda C. Williams, whose life was tragically taken by domestic violence.
But this is more than a poem. It is a mother’s grief, a daughter’s legacy, and a call for change.
Out of unimaginable loss, Annette is choosing to turn her pain into purpose through the establishment of Yolonda C. Williams Inc., an organization dedicated to education, awareness, advocacy, and resources for individuals and families impacted by domestic violence and intimate partner violence.
