Grassroots Giving Helping Children Grow by Nurturing Dreams These experiences and opportunities provide personal growth that children may not have otherwise.

Grassroots Giving is a charitable, tax exempt, 501(c)3 organization that provides funding for underprivileged children throughout the Volusia/Flagler area. Grassroots Giving enhances the lives of our local children by funding an array of extra-curricular activities and items. For example: Athletic activities, special camps (athletic, cultural arts and educational), equipment needed for the activities and more. Since our inception in February 2008, we have been able to help over 800 local youth while spending over $128,000 on life enrichment activities! Activities such as: Golf lessons, Pay to Participate fees for high school sports and band, athletic registration fees, music lessons, therapeutic horseback riding, gymnastics lessons, summer camps and more. Since our inception we have supported our local Boys & Girls Clubs and hosted an annual Grassroots Giving Field Day. There are approximately 250-300 children who attend this event every year. Not only do we organize a fun filled day of field day activities but we also provide gifts for the children i.e. restaurant gift cards, toys, new clothing and equipment/games for their programs. This is all possible because of our loyal donors! The need in the community where Grassroots serves is great, as so many families are struggling to pay their bills and to provide the essentials for their children. Needless to say, these families rarely have the resources to pay for life enrichment extra-curricular activities for their children. As our community and families become more aware of Grassroots, the number of applications that we receive each month has become overwhelming. The funding that we have available for our local youth is through our fundraising efforts and from donors such as you. We do not receive any federal or state grants, as Grassroots Giving is 100% community supported and 100% volunteer operated. Our overhead costs are 2-3%, which means that 97-98% of all donations received go directly to local children in need. Your donation to Grassroots Giving means more to us than you know as our budget has dwindled over the past year. The lack of funding means we are not able to help as many children as we would like. We have faith that our fundraisers will be prosperous and our donors will continue to show their support. The child who receives a life changing opportunity, an enriching experience or simply a chance to be like others, will remember your kindness for a lifetime.
