Today, we join our community in mourning the loss of Addison "Addi" Kubil.

Words cannot describe the sadness and heaviness of this moment, and even though it will never be enough, we send our support, love, and thoughts to Addison's family and friends.

If you ever feel alone, please don't hesitate to reach out, whether that's to us, a family member, friend, or anyone in your support system, because you are not alone. You are loved; you are supported.

It's looking like a beautiful (albeit a bit warm) Halloween week here in the Miami Valley! There are so many wonderful resources and events being put on by so many local organizations for you to get out and check out this week! What events are you planning to attend this week?

We were thrilled to share some important updates at our recent TransHearts - Dayton meeting for 2027. We are proud to announce we are moving and extending our time to better serve and connect our community!

Starting Thursday, January 7th, 2027 TransHearts - Dayton will be moving to the Dayton Metro Library - West Branch (300 Abbey Ave, Dayton, OH 45417). This new space offers the same warm, welcoming, confidential and affirming environment as our current meeting space, but we will have access to a bigger room, and will be farther apart from other meeting spaces to keep outside noise and interruptions minimal.

We're also extending our meetings! Our new start time will be at 5:30 PM. This give us more valuable time to connect, share, and support each other. Meetings will now run from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Otherwise our schedule remains the same, meeting every 1st & 3rd Thursday of the month. Our meetings are 100% Free to attend, No pre-registration required(but you will need to email us to get the specific meeting room info), and TransHearts - Dayton is a confidential, structured peer support group open to ALL Transgender, Non-Binary, Intersex, and Gender-Diverse adults (18+) in the Dayton area!

We look forward to seeing everyone in our new home at the West Branch library in January Make sure to share with friends who might benefit from joining our meetings.

This event happens tomorrow from 10a-6pm at the Main Dayton Metro Library branch. There will be a keynote speaker, educational workshops, resources, documentary screenings, free lunch and so much more!

This event is free to attend but requires registration via DML event page, all ages and allies are welcome!

Join TransHearts: Dayton as we dive into a topic that is pure trans joy: T4T Connection & The Magic of Trans Friendships!

Ever noticed how the mental fatigue of explaining your existence vanishes when you step into a room full of trans peers? That’s reduced cognitive load and nervous system co-regulation in action! When our brains don't have to perform or defend our gender, we free up energy for genuine laughter, deep solidarity, and mutual healing.

Whether you're looking to meet new peers, share stories, or just exist in a room where you don't have to explain yourself, there is a seat for you.

Join us on Saturday November 7th from 12-2pm for a Intersectional Community Forum for Trans & Gender-Diverse Voices called "Let's Gather, Let's Listen, Let's Do Better".

This event is Co-Hosted by Gatlyn Dame Group, Inc., TransCollective937, and TransHearts, this collaborative community forum provides a safe and structured platform for ANY AND ALL underrepresented transgender and gender-diverse identities, this includes disabled, neurodivergent, intersex, parasex, transmasculine, BIPOC, agender, and non-binary community members. This event is supported by our friends at PFLAG Dayton.

This event is being hosted at the Dayton Metro Library Main Branch in The Center for Community Impact & Innovation, with an option to attend virtually via Zoom link. Let your voices be heard in a safe, affirming environment and give constructive, actionable feedback on how we can make events in the Miami Valley more accessible and inclusive for all!
