Thankfully the heat is dying down here in the Miami Valley, but the community ISN'T LETTING UP one bit! There are so many wonderful events put on by amazing organizations this week, you should try to attend if they interest you! Here are some notable events going on this week!

TransCollective937 comes together monthly to provide support, and socialize for Transgender, Non Binary, Gender Non Conforming Adults and their supportive allies. 18+ or with a guardian. For the month of September, they are coming together socializing and doing a Show and Tell. Bring something from home to share or tell us about something! The gathering is for the Trans community, and supportive guests are welcome. 18+ or with your guardian. Join them at Have a Gay Day every 1st Monday from 6pm!

This Tuesday at the Fitz Center for Leadership in Community come for to explore the topic of su***de prevention and help raise awareness of the 988 su***de and crisis hotline. Includes structured social time, a panel, and moderated discussion circles.

This Saturday This year’s Darke County Pride will be held in September to honor both the LGBTQ+ Movement and Su***de Prevention Month. It’s day of community, joy, self-care and celebration! We look forward to celebrating Pride! This is a FREE, family friendly event from 12-6pm at Shawnee Prairie in Greenville, OH!

We know what it's like to be in a more rural environment, with limited support or peers. Having to drive 45+ minutes to be with your community that's why TransHearts is coming to you!

DEFINITELY DIDN'T FORGET TO PRESS POST ON THIS YESTERDAY. THIS IS TONIGHT!

Take a deep breath and set down the heavy stuff, this week at TransHearts: Dayton, we’re stepping away from gender talk and transition stress to focus entirely on rest, connection, and pure Trans Joy!

Join us tonight for a fun, low-pressure space where we’ll talk about what makes our brains light up! Whether you’re a pc gamer, plant lover, niche lore master, pet trainer, chef, or a fan of random 2 AM YouTube rabbit holes, bring your favorite topics!

We’ll be doing a Trans Joy Showcase activity where anyone who wants to can share their favorite hobby or special interest to the room!

The heat is cranking back up this week here in the Miami Valley, so if you're out and about this week please remember to hydrate and stay cool! Good thing there's a lot of wonderful community events happening this week where you can pop in, take a seat and enjoy some community! Here are some notable events going on this week!

Today from 1:30 to 3:30pm at the Main Dayton Metro Library Branch Sapphic Gems is doing a craft social in Conference Room 1B. BYOC (Bring your own craft) is recommended but they have some crafts provided for everyone to do as well!

Thursday from 6 to 7:30pm join us at TransHearts: Dayton for our structured peer-led support group for Transgender, Non Binary, and Gender Non-Conforming adults at the Northwest Branch of the Dayton Metro Library(email us for the meeting room info!).

Friday night join Have a Gay Day for their monthly Dungeons & Dragons themed night, it's all about getting together, rolling some dice, and having a good time. Whether you’re experienced or brand new, you’re welcome at the table. They keep it relaxed, fun, and inclusive no pressure, just a chance to play, connect, and escape into a story for a bit.

Lots going on this week in the Miami Valley, whether you want to get your heart pumping with some activities like Yoga, or find some support. Our community is coming together yet again to show how strong we are together. Here are some notable events going on this week!

On Friday August 28th from 10a-12pm join Ria Megnin, for a 2-hour introductory session to learn how to stay present, respond in the moment, and effectively de-escalate conflict. This event does require RSVP but is free to attend!

On Saturday August 29th we have the Protect Trans Futures Rally put on by Trans Unity Coalition at Dayton Courthouse Square from 12:30pm to 3pm. Come out and support your local trans community!

After you leave the Rally, come and get your professional gender affirming headshot photos taken by Gage Gatlyn at the Dayton Metro Library!

Join us Tomorrow night for a special themed space centering the health, safety, identity, and lived experience of Trans Men, Transmasculine, and Masc-presenting individuals!

We are thrilled to to welcome Guest Facilitator Gage Gatlyn (he/him), co-founder and VP of Gatlyn Dame Group, Inc., who will co-lead our discussion and host a live Q&A!

We plan on exploring:
* Embracing authentic q***r masculinities beyond societal stereotypes
* Navigating transmasc visibility, erasure, and community solidarity
* Systemic self-advocacy (HRT pathways, safety, & reproductive health)
* Practical gear, safe binding, packing, and everyday euphoria
* and more!
