We are incredibly grateful to The Dayton Foundation and a generous private funder for investing in the future of neighborhoods by supporting the Fairview Gardens Revitalization Greenhouse Project! With this investment, CityWide can continue the revitalization of this vital Northwest Dayton community space.

These donations made it possible for us to install a greenhouse at Fairview Gardens. This greenhouse gives growers the ability to have year-round food production, expand educational opportunities, and strengthen community engagement. Turning Fairview Gardens into a sustainable hub provides a place for neighbors to access fresh and healthy food, learn new skills, and take pride in their community.

Thank you to The Dayton Foundation for the Greenlight Grant and our generous private funder for believing in this vision and helping us build a healthier, stronger community for generations to come.

Pavement party at Five Rivers MetroParks starting June 1!

What to expect: Multiple projects in eight different MetroParks are scheduled in June and July (provisional rain dates planned). Certain areas will be closed on weekdays, but open on weekends to help minimize disruption. Parks will remain open and accessible on weekends.

“Five Rivers MetroParks is committed to maintaining safe, accessible roads, lots and trails,” said Five Rivers MetroParks Construction Manager Johnathan Eubanks. “This work is supported by the levy passed by the public in 2024 and reflects MetroParks’ continuing commitment to deliver on important repairs that are of great importance to the public.”
