One of the blessings in this area is Wesleyan Metropark. This is an exciting time for those who love birds. We are toward the end of the annual spring migration when birds travel from the tropics to their winter habitats. You can still see some birds not normally seen here the rest of the year. Recent sightings have included various types of warblers, wood thrushes and Swanson's thrush, and indigo buntings. Some sightings are near the bike path close to Adventure Central.

The Ohio Department of Aging is accepting applications for the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP). But hurry because, applications close May 22, 2026.

Enrolled participants get $50 to spend at approved farmers' markets on fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, and honey.

Residents of Cornell Heights join us for our neighborhood association meeting that goes from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. All at Adventure Central on James H McGee, Thursday May 21st.

Attention Wesleyan MetroPark visitors, neighbors and park lovers, we want to hear from you! We’re planning on some new and improved amenities at Wesleyan MetroPark from 2026 through 2027, including a new restroom, new shelter, shelter maintenance and other park upgrades.

We want the public to be a part of the process because your feedback is essential! Join us for an open house-style session at Adventure Central this Thursday, May 21, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Drop in to meet with MetroParks staff, take surveys and learn about project information.
