That number is not just a statistic. It represents fathers, sons, brothers, neighbors, coworkers, veterans, caregivers, and friends. Mental health struggles are common — but suffering in silence should not be.

The reality is that many men are struggling silently — not because they do not care, but because they have been taught to keep going without asking for help.

Men are often less likely to seek mental health treatment than women, and the su***de rate among males remains nearly four times higher than among females. This is why safe spaces matter. This is why conversations matter. This is why WEUSI’s work matters.

Through our Small Village Project, we are working to create stability, housing, dignity, and community-centered support for men who need a path forward.
