EAT, EAT, MANGA, MANGA (PART II)
Vatican Council II, 1962-1965, encouraged us, when we came to Holy Mass, to seek two tables: The table of the Word, from which the scriptures are proclaimed and The table of the Lord’s Last Supper, from which we receive the Body and Blood of Christ, the same Word we have already received through the scripture. The Word of God is food as well.
Watch how Ezekiel the prophet is asked to eat the word before he speaks it. The Lord God said to Ezekiel: You, son of man, listen to the words I say, do not be a rebel like that rebellious set, open your mouth and eat what I am about to give you.” I looked, a hand was there, stretching out to me and holding a scroll. He unrolled it in front of me, it was written on back and front. On it was written lamentations, wailings, moanings. He said: “Son of man eat what is given to you, eat this scroll, then go and speak to the house of Israel. I opened my mouth, He gave me the scroll to eat and said, Son of man, feed and be satisfied by the scroll I am giving you. I ate it and it tasted sweet as honey. Then He said to me, Son of man, go to the house of Israel and tell them what I have said.
ALL THINGS VISIBLE AND INVISIBLE WERE CREATED BY THE WORD OF GOD.
Shortly after the creation of man in the divine image, the anti-word Lucifer, fallen from Heaven, said to the woman, “Did God really say you are not to eat from any of the trees in the garden?” The woman answered the anti-word, “We may eat indeed the fruit of trees in the garden, but of the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, God said, You must not eat it nor touch it under the pain of death.” Then the serpent, the anti-word said to the woman “No, you will not die.” Eve said yes to the anti-word and no to the Word of God.
Mary said yes to the Word of God and no to the anti-word; hence down through the ages we have seen images of Mary standing on the snake crushing its head, stopping its slither. So it has been from the beginning of creation, the Word says, and the anti-word says. The Word says, A man shall leave his father and mother and join himself to his wife and they become one body; the anti-word would have men and women turn from natural in*******se to unnatural practices consumed with passion (lust) for each other. The Word says, increase and multiply; the anti-word says contracept. The word says, Thou shalt not kill, choose life; the anti-word says abort, choose death. In this past Presidential election, the voice of the anti-word was strident in its demands, homosexual marriage, abortion, embryonic stem cell research. I PUT BEFORE YOU BLESSING AND CURSE, LIFE AND DEATH, THE WORD AND THE ANTI-WORD. CHOOSE LIFE THEN THAT YOU AND YOUR DESCENDANTS MAY LIVE.
