Happy Friday!
Here’s our first coaches spotlight featuring our 10U Girls Coach!
Coach Tarryn grew up in upstate New York, where she fell in love with lacrosse at an early age. She played for Guilderland High School, serving as team captain her senior year, and competed with Albany Elite from 2001-2004, one of the top travel programs in the region. Her hard work on the field and in the classroom earned her a spot on the U.S. Lacrosse Academic All-American Team (Adirondack Chapter).
After high school, Tarryn took her game to the next level, earning a Division 1 Scholarship to UC Davis, where she was a four year defensive starter from 2004 to 2008. While at UC Davis, she was recognized as the Most Improved Player in 2005 and earned MPSF conference All-Academic Honors for her dedication both on and off the field.
Now, Coach Tarryn brings her love for the game and years of experience to the next generation of players. She’s passionate about teaching strong fundamentals, teamwork, and confidence — and most importantly, helping kids have fun while learning and growing in the sport she loves.
These days, one of her greatest joys is watching both of her kids fall in love with lacrosse and play for DLA, continuing the family’s connection to the sport.
